As someone who was not born in the UK, I will never forget the warm welcome I received from the British Sikh community when I first arrived. Their kindness, generosity and commitment to service left a lasting impression on me.
The British Sikh community exemplifies many of the values that make our country strong - hard work, compassion, public service and resilience. That is why it is so important that we stand alongside them and speak out against discrimination wherever it occurs.
It was a pleasure to meet with members of the Sikh community from Beaconsfield, Marlow and the South Bucks villages, alongside representatives from Sikh communities across the country.
