I am deeply disappointed that the Beeches Park development in Beaconsfield will now go ahead, despite being repeatedly rejected by Councillors and strongly opposed by local residents. This follows an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate.
I was proud to stand with residents in making the case against this development at the Planning Inspectorate.
This decision is yet another example of Labour’s so-called “grey belt” policy putting our Green Belt at risk.
Residents worked tirelessly throughout this process to oppose it, and I share their frustration at this outcome.
While this is not the result any of us wanted, I will continue working with residents and the Council to ensure that any development is subject to the strongest possible checks and protections.
