Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour

My constituents are my top priority and making sure that everyone feels safe in a friendly and caring community is essential. Therefore, I am committed to keeping our constituency protected from crime and anti-social behaviour. I have supported the Prime Minister’s efforts to increase the number of police in our streets by more than 12,000 through the Police Uplift Programme with the aim of meeting our target of 20,000 police officers by March 2023.

Recently I have been working with our local councils to crack down on criminality in the constituency. I am working to tackle specific local issues such as stopping cross border crime in the Ivers which threatens our feeling of safety in this constituency, as well as dealing with the recent issues of anti-social behaviour in Flackwell Heath.

Another pressing matter which affects our beautiful local area is the illegal activity of fly-tipping. I am proud to work with both Thames Valley Police and Buckinghamshire County Council to protect the green spaces in south Buckinghamshire and put an end to this criminal offence.

Joy Morrissey MP visits the Ivers

Good to do a walkabout along Bangers Road North in the Ivers - not impressed with the rubbish, potholes, overgrown hedges and general speed of cars along the road. Thanks Cllr Wendy Mathews for joining me. #Iver #IverHeath
